Unglazed matt porcelain bodied quarry tile for fireplace hearths and stove hearths. Quarry tiles have been used for fireplace hearths since early Victorian times and remain a popular choice for period Victorian and Edwardian reproduction fireplaces, and especially now for stove hearths. Because there is no glaze, there is nothing to craze or chip, and the tile ages rather than wears.
