Fixing materials and finishing services for fireplace tiles, alongside the tiles themselves.
Tiling a fireplace is not the same job as tiling a bathroom. A hearth takes direct heat and the occasional dropped ember, and it goes through that cycle repeatedly over a winter. Standard wall tile adhesive and ordinary grout are not designed for it, and they are the most common reason a properly chosen tile still fails after a season or two.
We also offer professional tile cutting at just 1 pound per cut, including careful hand finishing of the edges, so tiles arrive clean, sharp and ready to install rather than needing to be cut on site. This is particularly worth doing on quarry tiles, which are dense and difficult to cut cleanly without the right equipment, and on any tile with a rounded or tapered edge where the profile has to be preserved.
If you are not sure what you need for your hearth, send us the dimensions and what you are fitting it around, and we will tell you. Email sales@c20fireplaces.co.uk or call 0161 429 9042.Frequently asked questions
Which adhesive should I use?We supply heat resistant tile adhesive, rated to 1000°C. Standard wall and floor tile adhesive is not formulated for the heating and cooling cycle of a fireplace and will eventually let tiles lift.
Do you cut tiles to size?Yes, at 1 pound per cut including hand finishing of the edges, so tiles arrive ready to install. Particularly worth doing on quarry tiles.
