Description
This tile has 2 Rounded Edges on Opposite sides of the tile (REO).
It is most generally used to form raised kerbs on fireplace hearths but can also be used to make features on the fireplaces themselves.
This tile was in mass production throughout the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s.
This size of tile was pre-eminent at that time in fireplaces in the UK. It fell out of common use in the 1960s but is enjoying a bit of a resurgence today as people living in Art Deco homes replace period features.
Size 4 inches x 4 inches (102 mm x 102 mm) +/- 2mm
